Birchmere
Stainless steel balcony screens with toughened glass inserts fabricated, welded and installed by Precision Arc Engineering at Birchmere House care home, Solihull, West Midlands.

Model and fabrication drawings for the balconies and balustrades at Birchmere Care Home, Solihull, West Midlands were created by Precision Arc Engineering (PAE), taken from the structural engineer’s design. The drawings were approved by the client prior to fabrication.
PAE removed the existing balcony structures and made good for new steel work.
Precision Arc’s engineers fabricated 304 brushed stainless-steel balustrade to the approved design, along with 5 off 80x80x3mm box section intermediate post, with glass brackets and base plates, as well as 4 off 80x80x3mm box section end post with glass brackets, base and 300x3mm fixing plate. All posts were capped off and base plates fitted with cover plates. All stainless-steel posts were grained and welds cleaned.
New steel work was fabricated in the PAE workshop, delivered to site, and installed in conjunction with the structural engineer’s design.
7 off 1800x1160x12mm toughened clear glass panels were installed between the stainless-steel posts.
We installed the balustrades and glass to the engineer’s design.
